Hey, everybody! The last few months have been pretty hectic, so I think we’re well overdue for a status report! First up, let’s talk about my novels and where they’re at in the creation process. I spent most of January and February finishing up the edits for Memoirs of a Household Demon . My editor did an awesome job helping me trim down the overall word count without doing any significant damage to the narrative as a whole. This came as a great relief to me since I was worried that I’d lose a lot of the humor and character development that I’d fallen in love with over the course of writing the story. Now that I’m down to 110,000 words, we should be within the reasonable limit to explore traditional publishing options. Welp, after a grueling month and a half of editing, my book MEMOIRS OF A HOUSEHOLD DEMON is finally ready to go under the knife of a professional editor. I'm interested to see how polished we can get the finished product. In the meantime, I'll be starting work on my newest short story: "Someboty". It's no secret that I've always been a huge fan of science fiction, especially when it comes to robotics and artificial intelligence. Oftentimes we see the many ways in which AI can be potentially dangerous, and in some cases, even apocalyptic (I'm looking at you Skynet/Terminators). Instead, I wanted to explore the idea of the polar opposite. What happens when a machine is capable of empathy and compassion that even humanity fails to achieve? If such a thing were possible, would we embrace it, or would we shun what we can't comprehend? The story itself will be set in the same universe as PRODIGAL SEED: INDIGO 03, taking place about 45 years beforehand.  Its ...

  They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  Well, as someone who's written a few hundred thousand, I couldn't agree more.  I'm proud to present the newest concept art for Memoirs of a Household Demon , courtesy of artist extraordinaire "study3_2d"!   In a world where angels and demons wage an invisible war for the souls of all humankind, the line between friend and foe can become surprisingly blurry.  Not all demons see eye to eye, and humans aren't the only ones that compete for greater power and influence.  Pictured above, the protagonist, Yuriel, confronts Belial, the Demon of Wrath.  Both spirits seem striking out of place with their suburban surroundings, but such is par for the course when every mortal on earth is assigned their own heavenly and hellish influencer.  While angels are able to summon weapons of light, demons forge their tools of war from hardened shadows, gathering them from the surrounding environment.  If you ...
