For a demonic spirit, Yuriel had scored the perfect assignment—a cozy house in suburbia, a young drug addict with an openness for possession and all the marijuana brownies he could eat.  With a selfish human like Paul, temptation was easy.  Too easy.  Maybe that’s why it was so much more entertaining for Yuriel to spy on the Torres Family next door.  Something about them and the bonds they shared kept him coming back for more.  Especially their precocious four-year-old daughter, Eva, and their guardian angel, Sarai.    

But when Yuriel’s obsessions inadvertently bring tragedy to the family, he begins to discover an emptiness in his soul he never knew was there, yearning for a shot to make amends.  Enlisting the help of Sarai and his angelic counterpart, Goldie, he embarks on a mission to heal the grieving and earn his way back into Heaven by doing the unthinkable—tempting Paul to do good.  Complicating matters further, Belial and the other neighborhood demons start to suspect something is amiss, threatening any traitors with eternal captivity in Hell.  As the forces of darkness close in around him, Yuriel must fight to unravel the question: If angels can fall, why can’t demons rise?

Updates for July and August

Hey, everybody! It's been a while since my last post, but that's because I've been hard at work on a couple of exciting announcements! First up, I'm about to release the prequel for my urban fantasy novel, Memoirs of a Household Demon ! That's right, I've taken a hiatus from my normally scheduled program of writing short stories to give you a proper introduction into the world of spirits! Set approximately eight years before the start of the main story, it follows the guardian angel Sarai as her granddaughter and mortal charge, Daniela, begins her senior year of high school. New friends and enemies await, prepping the stage for an epic clash between light and darkness.
