Hey, everybody!  I figured it'd be fun to head into the holidays with a Christmas-themed short story: Carrots and Coal!  As the name suggests, the tale follows your average snowman through the laughable joys and perils of a day-long existence.

    Hey Ben--I found you! This was a fun story. I was expecting a rather young child story on this, but it definitely wasn't! :) Loved the humor, and style! And definitely a good viewpoint and deeper questioning of what the life of a snowman is, exactly! Loved the connection with his mother, and his openness to the world.

    Haven't found the novella, yet of your prequel, but I'm happy to have successfully found your site.

Hey, everybody! It's been a while since my last post, but that's because I've been hard at work on a couple of exciting announcements! First up, I'm about to release the prequel for my urban fantasy novel, Memoirs of a Household Demon ! That's right, I've taken a hiatus from my normally scheduled program of writing short stories to give you a proper introduction into the world of spirits! Set approximately eight years before the start of the main story, it follows the guardian angel Sarai as her granddaughter and mortal charge, Daniela, begins her senior year of high school. New friends and enemies await, prepping the stage for an epic clash between light and darkness.
