It’s that time again! We’ve got another short story coming down the pipe! I’d like to present The Undeniable Truth ! We live in a very, shall we say, interesting time. Technology has been advancing at a staggering rate, and with it, a greater influence on our perception of reality. Movies have been able to bring to life incredible new worlds, both alien and familiar, making things like spaceships and exploding planets look convincingly real. Then you’ve got things like Photoshop, voice synthesizers and deepfake technology to alter any kind of electronic recording you can imagine, making reality almost indistinguishable from fiction. It can miraculously de-age Mark Hamill into a seemingly youthful Luke Skywalker or even resurrect the dead by graphically putting the late Carrie Fisher’s face on a totally different actress’ body.
